NOTE: You have to have the preloaded chart card in the computer and HomePort has to see this file for you to get the detail. The software should find your chart card and give you the detail you want. Insert the preloaded chart card and open HomePort on your computer. Doing this will erase the HomePort software.ģ. NOTE: Do Not Use the HomePort card to load the maps like Garmin tells you to. Download all of the charts from your GPS to a blank SD card (use at least a 2GB card, there's a lot of data.) This will take from 30-45 minutes to do. Load the HomePort software on your computer.Ģ. Actually Homeport is a software that allows you to use the charts from your preloaded, late model Garmin units on your computer to review trips, waypoints, routes, ect. ![]()
